After we have gathered the survey data, David then conducts very in-depth, face-to-face interviews with the candidates to determine their work orientation. He uses these sessions to further assess emotional intelligence, leadership style, decision-making ability, personality type, maturity level and intellectual IQ.
- Are they change-agents?
- Or are they more comfortable implementing existing plans or maintaining the status quo?
- Do they have a personality and decision-making style that will be compatible with the existing corporate culture?
- Are there any red-flag character or leadership issues that might be cause concern down the road?
These sessions give David the opportunity to analyze a candidate’s reaction to his or her quantitative data results. Do their answers bolster earlier survey findings? Or is there a big disparity between test results and responses in the interview?
For example if a candidate describe his or herself as a collaborative leader, but the surveys reveal a more domineering leadership style, we’ll address that inconsistency to gain a more accurate picture of this potential employee.
Interpreting the Data
David’s mental-health background gives him the unique ability to meld this rich quantitative and qualitative data together, and ultimately provide you with a complete assessment of the candidates’ personal and professional qualities.
During the interviews, he can dive deeper into each candidate’s character, background and temperament—something that personality tests alone cannot do. David is able to take standard interview and hiring techniques to a much deeper level.
The result is a strong and sustainable employee for your firm. And the maximum return on your investment.
Delivering the Results
After we have reviewed the comprehensive profile results with the candidates, we then present our findings—in both oral and written form—to the hiring authority and/or selection committee.
This open process is specifically designed to gain insight into the overall character and suitability of candidates, as well as to provide both sides with objective and legitimate feedback.
